I do still make oil paintings. It’s just an exceedingly slow process.

Posting these just to remind myself that the idea of painting shadows, or with shadows, appears to be a recurring obsession.

I’m no ornithologist, but I think this was a female blackbird, and I’m almost positive it was dead.
