This week I made another trip to the fishery at Toomebridge and bought two live eels. I brought them to the riverbank and transferred them to a tank just long enough to take a few photographs before releasing them back into the lake.
I love these strange and beautiful creatures so very, very much.

the light & warmth & life & texture are good when you are sad. the heat settles right into yr bones and when you sit still for long enough you can hear the plants breathing and it is a Good Sound. so many beautiful things so far, so very far from home, and their only purpose, just like yours, is to keep on being.
